Style Stagecoach

Last year, I experienced my very first festival. Maybe I didn’t “experience” every part of it, nor did I find myself hungover and passed out in the middle of a field, but I did get to see some amazing performances, and dance my entire weekend away. It was amazing.

This year, I decided to embark on a new festival. I am going back to my country roots, and will be saddling up to Stagecoach. It is going to be an amazing experience and I cannot wait for April to come

The best thing about this entire festival is that I get to create a Stagecoach Wardrobe. I get to shop, and explore, and research my way into knowledge. Plus, the headliners this year aren’t too bad. (Hi Miranda, Blake and Tim!)

Here is a list of the top Stagecoach Fashion Tips – according to Me 🙂

1. Jewelry

2. Hairstyles

3. Shorts

4. Kimonos

5. Dresses

6. Shirts

7. Cowboy Boots

8. Hats

9. Sunglasses

Stylize the Stars

Here are a few of my favorite, and in my opinion most stylish stars in the pubic eye today. I tend to look towards girls in my own age group for fashion inspiration, and I feel like these ladies all have a unique style.

Vanessa“My style is boho chic. I love that time period – the patterns, the prints, the people, the music, the vibe.”

Selena“You should not wake up and dress for anybody but yourself. There will be magazines, there will be people, boyfriends, girls who say ‘This is what’s good, this is what’s going to look amazing, this is what’s in’, but ultimately at the end of the day, you’re going to dress for yourself.”

nina

“If I feel confident wearing something, I think it translates in photographs. It changes my demeanor and posture.”

lauren

“Whenever someone comes up to me and says, ‘I’m having trouble shopping.’ I tell them to pull out their 10 favorite, most-worn pieces, then build a wardrobe around them. Those staples are going to be different for everybody.”

Five girls, five unique styles, molded into one group – in one word, that’s impressive.

instagram“The people that have amazing style, fashion, and Instagram Popularity.”

instagram“Fashion is way too much fun to not enjoy. Here is a peak into my closet.”

Pitch Black Friday

Black Friday is exactly 2 weeks away. And this year I am extremely excited, and I am extremely sad at the exact same time. I have crazy mixed emotions. Number one, Black Friday means all sales should occur on Friday. Last year my boyfriend, cousin, and sister all waited from 9:45pm until midnight just to get into Best Buy. The year before that we waited from midnight until 5:00am to get a TV. And we thought THAT was crazy. Well guess what? CRAZY has obtained all new meaning this year.

Both Walmart and Best Buy have their doorbusters set to release at 6:00pm Thanksgiving night.

Does that count as Black Friday??

I don’t think so.

Other businesses such as Macy’s and Kohl’s are set to begin their sales at 8:00pm on Thanksgiving night. Which still blows my mind. I completely understand that the Thanksgiving holiday is nothing short of an excuse to host a huge Turkey dinner and stuff our faces until we can’t fit into our jeans any more, but it is also a time for family to join together after a year of avoiding each other. (That was a complete joke, I love my family.) This new ritual of creating a “fake” Black Friday really bums me out. I want to enjoy Thanksgiving dinner and like many others I have to make the rounds to different family member’s homes – those of my boyfriend and my own family. So how in the world am I supposed to do this when my shopping needs to begin at 6:00pm?!? That’s when my second dinner is set to start!

Luckily, none of the potentially awesome deals starting at 6:00pm include things I actually need. (I mean, do I want Beats Headphones for only $114.99? Yes. Do I need them? Unfortunately, no.) So I get to plan my Black Friday shopping after my family gathering calms down. This is a way to get my Christmas shopping done a month early, AND walk around and get some exercise after eating my weight in mash potatoes and stuffing.

Here is my schedule:
8:45pm – Kohl’s
10:00pm – Best Buy
12:00am – Macy’s

One of my favorite sites for Black Friday ads, Pre-Black Friday is BlackFriday.com. It gets tons of the ads early, and you can sign up for emails when they receive new ones. Here are the 6 that I looked at when making my Black Friday plan.

Just remember this entire holiday is supposed to be a fun thing for the family. So, don’t let Black Friday and the ideas of “SALE” and “60% OFF” cloud your vision. Spend time with your loved ones, and bring them shopping with you! 😉 This is a season to be thankful for everything we have, and how lucky we are to be alive. Pile your plate high, get your shopping shoes on, and remember to thank your family for well, putting up with you and your shop-a-holic ways!

Fancy Fall

Fall – such a beautiful time of the year.

And what better way to start out November than with an online shopping adventure? As you know, Fall has become this tiny portion of time in between the hot summer nights and the freezing winter evenings. It is a time for cuddling, pumpkin flavored everything, and beautiful nights by the electric fireplace. If I’m honest with you, this is one of my favorite times of the year.

Here’s why: clothing becomes more bundled, and there are so many options for different styles to present themselves. You can still wear your summer clothes, but this time you get to add some sparkle with a scarf or a sweater. And my favorite fashion find comes back into style – BOOTS. I have so many that I can’t even keep count, but I love them and this is the perfect time to zip them up – with any ensemble.

So, here is my “Guide to a Fancy Fall.” A list and price guide to some amazing finds on this beautiful place we call the internet.

The necessities:

  1. Scarf – I can’t get enough scarfs, I have over 20. I literally buy every single one I see. It’s that dangerous. Scarfs can keep you warm and they can spice up any outfit. Scarfs are how I add color to my otherwise boring fall and winter wardrobe. They are my go-to accessory for fall and winter. They just look so cute! And if you have a day where you just can’t decide between a bulky jacket or a light coat, you can add a scarf and be kept warm throughout the day. I can’t get over how much I love my scarfs. P.S. you can even MAKE your own scarf. How cool is that!?

    1st: Run Wild Jaguar Scarf $9.80 (11.06.13) Forever21
    2nd: Xhilaration® Solid Scarf – Teal $10.00 (11.06.13) Target
3rd: Manhattan Scarf Co. Mixed Media Snakeskin Infinity Scarf Black $11.99 (11.06.13) Kohl’s
    4th: Apt. 9® Twill Wrap Amethyst $13.99 (11.06.13) Kohl’s
5th: Printed Loop Scarf by Accessory Collective $7.99 (11.06.13) Kohl’s
    6th: Fringed Southwestern Style Scarf $12.80 (11.06.13) Forever21
  2. Boyfriend Sweater –  I love these big over-sized sweaters. They are comfy, warm, and on top of cute, they are easy. You can throw this sweater on with a cute pair of leggings or your favorite jeans, and you are set for the day – plus, you’re in style baby. It’s a great way to cover up when you’re cold, or when you’re feeling less than skinny. Pick up this adorable sweater and other cute ones at H&M.

    1st: Geo Boyfriend Sweater – $22.80 (11.07.13) Forever21
    2nd: Knit Sweater – $20 on sale (11.06.13) H&M
    3rd: Call of the Wild Sweater – $22.80 (11.07.13) Forever21
  3. Cardigan  –  I cannot get enough of the cardigan trend. I love sweaters, so when over-sized cardigans became the trend of the season, I was SO excited. They come in so many different prints, such as tribal, floral, or even plain colors. They are warm, and easy – and can be the perfect spark to your otherwise boring winter outfit. Pair this with a cute skirt (like in the picture) or add some flair with a plain dress and some tights. You can do anything with these awesome prints. Pick up this one at Forever21.

    1st: Must-Have Open Cardigan – $24.80 (11.06.13) Forever21
    2nd: BDG Classic Cardigan – $39.00 (11.07.13) Urban Outfitters
    3rd: Relaxed Draped Cardigan – $17.80 (11.07.13) Forever21
  4. Boots – These are my absolute favorite part of fall and winter, even early spring. I cannot get enough boots. I have a total of about 10 pairs of boots, and I only want more. They come in so many different styles, from short to tall, from comfy to high stilettos, you will be able to find the perfect boots for you guaranteed. Look at places like Forever21 and Payless for multiple sizes and popular styles. Also check out Burlington Coat Factory and Ross to find more original styles that you may not see at regular department stores. These amazing Brash boots are found at Payless Shoe Source.

    1st: Women’s Mossimo Supply Co. Kessi Crocheet Boot – $34.99 (11.06.13) Target
    2nd: All-Day Faux Suede Boots – $44.80 (11.07.13) Forever21
    3rd: Brash Women’s Zane Riding Boots – $49.99 (11.06.13) Payless
  5. Perfect Pair of Jeans – Jeans are a must for basically any season. Unless it’s over 95 degrees you can pull off jeans comfortably. Even with hot weather a good pair of jeans can make an outfit. Here’s the key – the must fit. Don’t squeeze into a lower size, or try to stuff your legs into something too tight. It’s just not worth it. You will look a lot bigger than if you chose a pair of pants that actually fit. Find something comfortable. I LOVE the jean-legging type of fabric. It’s tough enough to give you an awesome stylish look, but it’s so comfortable that you feel like you’re in your pj’s all day long – which common, that’s a great feeling when it’s cold outside. Here are a few pairs of jeans that I think are the perfect fall color and the perfect fall fit (on these lovely models). Just remember, it’s not the number or size on the jean that makes or breaks you – it’s how amazing your booty looks when you slide a pair on. There are so many different types of jeans. I am sad to say that I love the way Abercrombie & Fitch jeans fit, but they have this little pop to my butt that just works. I also love this Ross brand called Cielo Jeans. Their jean/leggings are awesome and comfy. If you are looking for something more pricey – I’d go for Lucky brand jeans. They are so well made – I have a pair from high school that still fit and look fabulous.

    1st: A&F Jeggings Rinse – $34 (11.07.13) Abercrombie & Fitch
2nd: Charlie Skinny Super Stretch Straight – $99.00 (11.07.13) Lucky Brand Jeans
    3rd: Laid Back Boyfriend Jean Medium Denim – $24.80 (11.07.13) Forever21
  6. Tights – Tights are one thing that I hate, but love at the same time. I have had countless of times of bad luck with tights because they run, and they don’t always fit correctly and sometimes one-size does not fit all, but they are so cute. And they can bring your summer and spring wardrobe into the fall and winter months. This saves you money and time. Pairing tights with shorts and dresses can bring a whole new look to your style. I find the more expensive the tights, the better quality, but you can still pull off your look with cheap versions. I have the cheapest versions you can purchase – and I think they work extremely well. When you do buy a pair of nylons or tights, make sure you take them out of their package and lay them flat – or hang them up a few days before you wear them. If they are packaged tightly they will end up having creases in them that you do not want showing when you finally decide to put them on.

    1st: Classic Tights Black – $5.80 (11.07.13) Forever21
    2nd: Merona Premium® Women’s Large Dot Tights Black – $10.00 (11.07.13) Target
    3rd: Gipsy Mock Zigzag-Garter Tight – $14.00 (11.07.13) Urban Outfitters

So, embrace fall – and embrace the holiday savings. I’m sure you can find some online coupons – maybe I will even post the ones I find on here… stay tuned! 🙂
